STANFORD, Calif.- No. 20 Stanford registered its second straight shutout, blanking No. 73 Washington State 7-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium.
The Cardinal (7-2, 2-0 Pac-12) has won three in a row while the Cougars (10-4, 0-2 Pac-12) have started their four-match road trip with back-to-back losses.
Leading 1-0, Stanford was dominant in singles, surrendering two games or less from spots Nos. 1-5.
Krista Hardebeck's 6-1, 6-2 victory over Andjela Kankaras at the No. 3 spot represented the clincher.
Stanford hosts No. 38 Texas tomorrow at 1 p.m.
