STANFORD, Calif.- No. 6 Stanford blanked No. 28 Arizona 4-0 on Saturday afternoon in a rain-shortened conference match at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.
Due to the threat of rain, the singles competition was played first.
Stanford (13-0, 6-0 Pac-12) secured the match with four straight singles wins, with Nicole Gibbs providing the clincher in a 6-4, 7-6 triumph at the top spot of the lineup.
The remaining singles matches were not played due to rain.
Arizona falls to 12-6 overall and 2-3 in Pac-12 action.
The Cardinal is back in action on Wednesday, April 4, hosting Cal Poly at 1:30 p.m.
