STANFORD, Calif.- No. 2 Stanford coasted past No. 58 UC Davis in its season opener on Thursday afternoon at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium.
The Cardinal (1-0, 0-0 Pac-12) swept all three doubles positions to take an early 1-0 lead, before powering past the Aggies (1-3, 0-0 Big West) in singles play.
Veronica Li, Nicole Gibbs and Stacey Tan all booked easy straight-set victories to quickly secure the match.
Ellen Tsay picked up a 6-1, 6-2 victory at the No. 5 spot in her dual match debut.
Stanford is back in action this weekend, facing Oregon in Eugene at 12 p.m.
