Albuquerque, N.M. - Stanford senior Tyrone McGraw made his 2011 debut at the New Mexico Classic. The Cardinal record holder in the 60 meters made the final and posted a time of 6.94 seconds.
In a light weekend for the Cardinal, McGraw was the only athlete to compete. He ran a time of 6.95 seconds in the prelims to advance to the final of the 60 meters. In the final, McGraw ran 6.94 to place seventh.
McGraw is the school-record holder in the event, running 6.80 last season.
The Cardinal will be back in action next weekend at the Husky Classic. The Cardinal are expected to have a much larger contingent of athletes compete next weekend as the highly competitive meet at the University of Washington.
