Stanford had its three-game win streak snapped, which had been its longest since a four-game run in 2001 and its longest Pac-10 stretch since taking its first five conference games of the 1999 campaign.

The Cardinal has dropped eight straight games versus Top 10 teams dating back to a 38-28 victory over then No. 4 and unbeaten UCLA on October 27, 2001.

Stanford did not commit a turnover for the fourth consecutive game but lost for the first time this season (now 4-1) when winning the turnover battle ... Stanford also recovered a pair of UCLA fumbles in the contest and is now +9 this season in turnover ratio.

Stanford quarterback Trent Edwards moved into 10th-place on Stanford's all-time total offense list and now has 3867 yards of total offense in his career ... He also moved into a tie for 10th-place on the school's all-time list for touchdown throws (25) ... Edwards' two touchdown throws without an interception Saturday gives him 12 TD passes and just two interceptions on the season, including 10 TD passes without an interception over Stanford's last four contests ... Edwards has two or more touchdown passes in each of his last four contests and at least one in a five in a row.

J.R. Lemon made his first start of the season at running back and rushed for a season-high 53 yards, scoring his first two touchdowns of the season including his first career receiving TD ... Lemon also had career-highs of six receptions and 50 yards receiving.

Nick Frank rushed for a touchdown in his second consecutive contest with his seven-yard fourth quarter TD run and now leads the Cardinal with three rushing TD's on the season ... Frank rushed for a career-high 61 yards on the ground.

Kevin Schimmelmann tied a career-high with 12 tackles.

Julian Jenkins had a career-high 3.0 sacks and a season-high nine tackles.

Michael Sgroi made both of his field goal attempts to run his current string to six in a row ... His two field goals were the 42nd and 43rd of his Stanford career as he moved past Rod Garcia (42, 1971-73) and into sole possession of fourth-place on Stanford's career field goal list ... Sgroi also made all three of his PAT attempts to increase his career total to 89, moving into sole possession of fifth-place on that all-time school list.

Stanford won the time of possession battle for just the second time this season, holding the ball for 36:39 compared to just 23:21 for UCLA.

UCLA
UCLA came from behind to win after trailing in the fourth quarter for the fourth time this season (all by double digits) ... The comeback from a 21-point deficit also tied the Bruins' record for the biggest comeback in school history.

Drew Olson has at least one passing touchdown in 16 of his last 17 games after connecting for two touchdown passes.

Maurice Drew moved into the Top 10 all-time at UCLA in scoring with his six-yard TD run with 7:04 to go with in the fourth quarter.

UCLA snapped a three-game losing streak at Stanford Stadium.
