An International Tennis Hall of Fame inductee, R. Lindley Murray was among Stanford’s earliest great tennis players, captaining the team in 1913 and also running track on the Farm. As a pro, he was the U.S. singles champion in back-to-back years out of college (1917-18), and came to be ranked amongst the top five players of his time. | |||||||||||
