The 2003 Season: One of two starting tight ends for the Cardinal, Alex started all 11 games and was the team's third leading receiver (24 receptions, 185 yards) ... He was tied for the team lead with three touchdown receptions ... He was named honorable mention All-Pac-10 and honorable mention Academic All-Pac-10 ... Had three receptions for 42 yards and two touchdowns against Washington ... He scored the game's first TD on a 12-yard pass from Trent Edwards, then scored his second TD on an 18-yard pass from Edwards in the second quarter, which tied the game at 14-14 ...
