STANFORD, Calif. - Senior punter Eric Johnson signed a free agent contract with the Tennessee Titans, becoming the fourth Stanford football player to sign a free agent contract in the past month.
In 2003, Johnson set single-season records for punts in a season with 86, and for punting yards with 3,687. The Antioch, CA native ranked fourth in the Pac-10 Conference and 28th nationally in punting with a career-best 42.87 average. Johnson, who was a three-year starter at punter, ends his career with 8,786 career punting yards in 220 attempts. For his efforts, Johnson was selected as a member of the All-Pac-10 Second Team.
