STANFORD, Calif. – In a complete team effort, No. 4 Stanford defeated Marquette, 25-20, 25-18, 20-25, 25-12, Sunday, in Maples Pavilion.
Stanford (4-0) hit a season-high .307 as a team, while holding Marquette (2-3) to a .171 clip. The Cardinal improves to 4-0 all-time against the Golden Eagles.
Sophomore Logan Parks dished out a season-best 49 assists as four Cardinal players finished with double-digit kills. The setter also matched her career-high with four aces. Libero Spencer Etzler racked up a match-high 18 digs.
Middle blocker Lizzy Andrew and outside hitter Ipar Kurt each had 14 kills to lead Stanford, while opposite Jordyn Harvey and outside hitter Julia Blyashov added 13 kills apiece.
Andrew hit .393 and notched four blocks, two digs and an ace. Kurt, who returned to the lineup after missing Thursday’s match, posted a .286 attack percentage to go with three digs and a block.
Harvey finished with a season-high seven blocks to go with seven digs and an ace. Blyashov notched her second double-double of the season, adding 14 digs to go with her 13 kills.
Freshman middle blocker Ella Andrews tallied a career-best seven blocks and a pair of kills, while freshman Simone Roslon matched her career-high with seven digs.
The Cardinal moved to 117-14 at Maples Pavilion under Montag Family Director of Women’s Volleyball Kevin Hambly, now in his 10th season at the helm of the program.
Stanford hits the road for the next three weeks, beginning Wednesday with the ACC/SEC Showdown at the Net. The Cardinal will take on defending national champion Texas A&M at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando at 6 p.m. PT on ESPN2.
