STANFORD, Calif. — After a historic season on the field in 2026, Stanford women’s lacrosse earned its final postseason accolades as the Cardinal was named an Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad while also placing 15 players on the organization’s academic honor roll, the IWLCA announced Wednesday.Â
Stanford, which has earned a nod as an Academic Honor Squad every year since 2009, joins the list among 357 schools across Divisions I, II, III, and NAIA for the 2025-26 academic year. To earn the honor, programs must post a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.Â
Individually, the Cardinal placed 15 student athletes on the Academic Honor Roll as well. The IWLCA honored 1,212 student-athletes from 122 different institutions on the 2025-26 Division I Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater.Â
