PGA Frisco to Host Stephens Cup

Fourth appearance for Stanford, who finished runner-up in 2025

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Stanford women’s golf returns to the Jackson T. Stephens Cup for the 2026 installment of the event, taking place on Sept. 14-16, 2026. The 2026 tournament will be held at PGA Frisco in Frisco, Texas.

The Jackson T. Stephens Cup is an annual collegiate golf tournament named in memory of the late Augusta National Chairman and launched in 2021. The tournament features NCAA Division I National Championship-contending men’s and women’s teams alongside collegiate players representing Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and the United States Service Academies.

Competition will take place at Fields Ranch East, Gil Hanse’s acclaimed design known for its natural contours, strategic bunkering, and ever-present North Texas winds—elements that promise to test every aspect of a player’s game. The format includes 54 holes of stroke play followed by an 18-hole match play final round.

In addition to Stanford, the women’s field includes Texas, Oregon, Wake Forest, South Carolina, and Florida State. All programs are currently ranked inside the top-30 in the country.

2026 will be the fourth appearance in the Jackson T. Stephens Cup for the Cardinal. Stanford won the 2022 event after finishing second in stroke play and beating Wake Forest in match play for the title. Last year, Stanford fell to the Demon Deacons in the match-play finals.
