- The Cardinal enters the conference championship tournament after a 4-0 weekend at the Stanford West Coast Classic, April 18-19. Aided by two three-set clinching victories from sophomores Charlotta Bell and Logan Tusher, No. 2 Stanford topped both No. 6 Cal Poly and No. 7 California by matching scores of 3-2 on Friday at Stanford Beach Volleyball Stadium. A day later, on the program’s senior day, No. 2 Stanford set a program record for wins in a single season with 5-0 sweeps of both Pepperdine and San Jose State at Stanford Beach Volleyball Stadium. The Cardinal (34-3) broke its previous record of 32 victories in a campaign, set in 2024 and 2025.
- Stanford is the only AVCA-ranked program to have 30 wins heading into the postseason. 24 of the Cardinal’s 34 victories in 2026 have come over top-20-ranked programs.
- A Stanford record that is ready to be broken during the MPSF Championship tournament:
- Single-season wins (individual): Charlotta Bell- 32 individual wins, leads all Stanford teammates and matches the single-season Stanford record for wins in a single campaign; any additional victories would move her into sole possession of most individual wins in a season in Cardinal beach volleyball history
- Single-season records set during the final weekend of the regular season-
- Single-season wins (pair): Elena Fisher/Chloe Hoffman- 29 wins as a pair; Charlotta Bell/Logan Tusher- 29 wins as a duo
- Bested the Cardinal’s record for victories by a pair in a single season of 28, set by Kelly Belardi/Ashley Vincent in 2023
- Single-season victories (team): Stanford currently sits with 34 wins throughout the 2026 season
- Broke the Cardinal’s program record for wins in a single season, which was 32, set in both the 2024 and 2025 seasons
- Single-season wins (pair): Elena Fisher/Chloe Hoffman- 29 wins as a pair; Charlotta Bell/Logan Tusher- 29 wins as a duo
- The winner of the MPSF Championship tournament earns an automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship. After the weekend concludes, Stanford will await Selection Sunday to find out its seeding for the national championship tournament, set to air April 26th at 10 a.m. PT on NCAA.com.
