STANFORD, Calif. – Senior Yara Elian was named MPSF Artistic Swimmer of the Week on Jan. 27 for her performances in Stanford’s season opener at the OSU Invitational last weekend.
Elian captured a pair of event titles to lead the Cardinal, teaming up with Calista Liu and Audrey Kwon to win the trio competition with 201.1008 points.
In the Tech A competition, Elian claimed her second crown with 80.5989 points.
Elian, the 2024 MPSF Artistic Swimmer of the Year and 2023 MPSF Freshman of the Year, earned her second career conference weekly award. She is also a six-time MPSF individual event champion.
Stanford resumes competition this weekend with an appearance at the Incarnate Word Invitational on Jan. 30-31.
