STANFORD, Calif. — The NFL playoffs have delivered through two rounds, with nearly every game coming down to the final minutes. Stanford’s original batch of former players in the league has been whittled down to just two heading into Championship weekend, with Austin Hooper and Colby Parkinson reminding fans that Stanford is “Tight End U.” They will play for a spot in Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara on Sunday, Feb. 8.
At the same time, the season came to an end for Pro Bowlers like Christian McCaffrey and Drew Dalman, whose teams could not pull through and advance to their respective championship games.
Below is a breakdown of each performance by a former Cardinal in the Divisional Round:
Seattle Seahawks 41, San Francisco 49ers 6
- Christian McCaffrey (SF): Carried the ball 11 times for 35 yards and added five receptions for 39 yards…tied for the most targets (6) and receptions for the 49ers…finishes his 2025 season with 450 total touches across 19 games, the most in his NFL career and the second most by an NFL player, including the postseason, since 2015…
- Curtis Robinson (SF): Played 27 total snaps, including six at linebacker…recorded two assisted tackles on those six defensive snaps…is the 49ers team nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, announced during Super Bowl week.
Christian McCaffrey has been announced as the winner of the 2026 Bart Starr Award for outstanding character, integrity and leadership, both on and off the football field 👏
