STANFORD, Calif. - Eight Cardinal lightweight rowers were named Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) scholar-athletes, as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
Excelling both on the water and in the classroom, athletes must maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher, be at least a sophomore, and row in an IRA boat for 75 percent of the season's races.
Stanford is coming off a sixth-place finish in the Commissioner's Cup standings, highlighted by a fourth-place finish in the double.
