PHILADELPHIA - Hunter Garvin placed sixth at 165 pounds and Tyler Knox finished eighth at 133 pounds on the final day of the NCAA Championships at the Wells Fargo Center.
Stanford finished tied for 18th place as a team with 21.0 points. It marks the 10th top-20 finish in program history and the second straight under Chris Ayres, the Matt Gentry Head Wrestling Coach.
Garvin took sixth for the second consecutive season, finishing the year at 23-10 overall. Knox turned in a 28-9 record in his redshirt freshman season.
It is the fifth time in the past six seasons Stanford has produced multiple All-Americans in the same season and the 11th time overall.
Garvin became the seventh wrestler in program history to earn multiple NCAA All-America honors, while Knox is just the fourth freshman to achieve the status.
