ACC Check-In » Six games into ACC play, Stanford sits tied for second in the conference at 5-1. The conference leader, No. 9 Florida State, boasts a 3-1 record (20-3 overall).

Four ACC teams are ranked in the most recent NFCA poll, led by Florida St. at nine. Virginia Tech came in just ahead of Stanford at No. 16, and Duke rounded out the group at No. 19. California and Virginia narrowly missed the top 25, each receiving votes.

Power Surge » The Cardinal has hit the ball with plenty of power to start 2025. Through 20 games, the team boasts 40 home runs. Last season, in 57 games, Stanford hit 56.

The 40 home runs are already tied for the eighth-most in a season in program history, and have come from 11 different players, including first-career home runs from River Mahler and Ella MurchisonTaryn Kern leads the team with seven on the season, already matching her 2024 season total.

Ice Cold River » Junior River Mahler leads the team in RBI this season, with a career-high 26. With runners on base, Mahler is 20-for-44 on the season to for a .455 average. Her clutch hitting numbers include a .424 average (14-for-33) with runners in scoring position, and has driven in a run every time she's been at bat with a runner on third and less than two outs (8-for-8).

Compound Growth » Since Jessica Allister took over the program ahead of the 2018 season, the Cardinal has scored more runs than the previous season every year – with the exception of the COVID-condensed 2020 season.
