Stanford is tied for the NCAA lead in run-rule wins (7), and boasts the longest streak of run rule wins with seven straight.
9-0 Cardinal » The Card has opened the season hot, going 9-0 in a pair of home tournament weekends. Stanford slashed .460/.813/.534 as a team, scoring 93 runs. The 9-0 start is Stanford's best since going 13-0 to open the 2014 season.
Bounceback Bats » Cardinal hitters have answered every time they've been called upon this season, scoring immediately after every inning in which their opponent has scored.
No Easy Outs » Stanford has only gone 1-2-3 at the plate in one inning this season – on Feb. 8 against Fresno St. in the bottom of the fourth. The Card has posted 35 consecutive innings over eight games with at least one baserunner.
Power Surge » The Cardinal hit the ball hard in 2024 – combining to hit 56 homers after posting just 26 in 2023. The 56 home runs were the most in a single season since 2005, and the second-most all-time. Three newcomers (then-freshmen Jade Berry and Ava Gall, plus transfer Taryn Kern) combined to hit 25 home runs last season - just one shy of the team's total from 2023.
Flashback to 2024 » Stanford saw Arizona, Texas and Colorado St. last season, and played UC Davis twice last weekend. The Card went 2-1 at Arizona in 2024, and 2-0 against Colorado State. Stanford went 2-0 against UC Davis last weekend, both via run rule. Stanford and Texas split a pair of regular season matchups last year, with the Longhorns winning twice at the Women's College World Series.

Back and Hungry for More » Stanford softball won 50 games last season, the second-most in program history and the first 50-win season since 2001. Stanford is coming off consecutive trips to the WCWS for the first time in program history, and third and fourth trips total. The Card's 17 Pac-12 wins tied a program record dating back to 1998.
