INDIANAPOLIS - Stanford junior Torri Huske will represent the United States once again at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, qualifying her spot in two events at the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials this past week.
It is Huske's second time donning the Stars and Stripes at the Olympic Games, previously competing at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics where she won silver as a part of the 4x100 medley relay team.
Huske opened the week with a second-place finish in the 100 fly, posting a new lifetime best of 55.52 to almost certainly punch her ticket to Paris as a top-two finisher in the event. Later in the week, however, Huske left no doubt by finishing within the four automatic bids in the 100 free with a second-place time of 52.93.
Huske also qualified for two additional event finals throughout the Olympic Trials, finishing third in the 200 IM semifinals before ultimately deciding to withdraw from the event as well as a fourth-place finish in the 50 free.
Aurora Roghair made three finals appearances and posted four new lifetime bests at Olympic Trials, finishing fourth in both the 800 free and 1500 free, along with a fifth-place finish in the 400 free. The junior also finished 11th in the 200 free after posting a new personal best time in the morning prelims.
Lucy Bell also made a trio of event finals, finishing sixth in the 400 IM as well as a two eighth-place finishes in the 200 fly and 200 IM. Sophomore Charlotte Hook joined Bell in the 200 fly finals, finishing sixth in the event while Lillie Nordmann rounded out Stanford's finalists for the week with a seventh-place finish in the 100 fly.
Caroline Bricker also notably earned a second swim in the 200 fly to place 12th in the semifinal round, while Amy Tang posted a new lifetime best in her prelim swim in the 50 free.
Over the course of the nine-day event, 13 Stanford swimmers tallied 17 new lifetime-best times and advanced beyond the prelims 22 times throughout the week. Full results from the U.S. Olympic Team Trials can be found here.
Following the conclusion of the event, head coach Greg Meehan was also named to the Team USA coaching staff for his third consecutive Olympic cycle, previously coaching at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games.
Joining Huske on the Olympic team are alums Katie Ledecky and Simone Manuel. Ledecky qualified her spot in four events (200 free, 400 free, 800 free, 1500 free), while Manuel will represent Team USA in the 4x100 free relay and the 50 free later this summer. Stanford Women's Swimming & Diving has now had a representative at each Olympic Games since 1976.
Swimming at the 2024 Paris Olympics will take place July 27-August 4 inside the Paris La Defense Arena, the largest indoor events venue in Europe.
