DICK GOULD STANFORD/SOCAL CHALLENGE
The weekend matches are part of the annual Dick Gould Stanford/SoCal Challenge. Stanford faces USC and UCLA twice each year, once as part of the Pac-12 schedule and once as part of its nonconference slate. Beginning with last season's matchups, the matches against the Trojans and Bruins at Stanford were named the Dick Gould Stanford/SoCal Challenge in honor of Stanford's Hall of Fame coach, Dick Gould. The legendary Cardinal mentor was enshrined into the Pac-12 Hall of Honor earlier this month in Las Vegas.
